Yet over 1/3 of the food supply—108 billion lbs—is wasted every year in the United States\, generating over 327 million tons of CO2e. Meanwhile\, 47 million Americans lack access to safe and sufficient food. \nOur Solution: The Farmlink Project connects farms with surplus food to communities facing hunger. \nWisconsin Impact: \n\nDistributed 556\,160 lbs of surplus produce to WI\n\nAvoided an estimated 570 metric tons of CO2e emissions\n\n\nRescued 182\,950 lbs of surplus produce from WI\n\nAvoided an estimated 180 metric tons CO2e emissions\n\n\nMade 463\,466 healthy meals possible
